EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM: - During the 18th annual festival, Charlie Musselwhite will talk about his Southern blues roots and influences linking him to international audiences, his friendships with Clarksdale natives Muddy Waters and John Lee Hooker, and his plans for the future. This educational component is being sponsored in part by a grant awarded to the Sunflower River Blues Association by the Southern Arts Federation and the National Endowment for the Arts in conjunction with the Delta Blues Museum.
