Well-known Clarksdale bluesman, Josh “Razorblade” Stewart, has been hospitalized with back problems in the Memphis Veterans Administration Hospital for approximately a month, but is expected home Sunday, according to John Holmes, Delta Blues Museum After-School music teacher.
Holmes said Stewart, who performs regularly at the Sunflower River Blues Festival and Ground Zero Blues Club, told him he was paralyzed and in a wheelchair following a slipped disc.
With “Ah Hah,” his signature vocal refrain, Stewart has showcased many young student musicians in his stage performances, and welcomed hundreds of visitors to Clarksdale.
