CLARKSDALE – Five blues bands will be performing at the Sunflower River Blues Association’s annual Thanksgiving Eve Blues Party at Ground Zero Blues Club Wednesday, Nov. 21.
Kicking off at 9 p.m., the party is a preview of the 2013 Sunflower Festival and will feature Daddy Rich, Bill ‘Howlin’ Madd’ Perry, the All Night Long Band, Otis TCB Taylor Blues Band and Heather Cross: Heavy Suga’ & the Sweet Tones.
All will be on the festival lineup August 9-10-11, 2013.
“We’re looking forward to celebrating with families, visitors, and college students home for the holidays,” says Melville Tillis, Sunflower Festival co-chairman.
“It’s become a tradition with some groups – great entertainment and a break from cooking too,” he continued.
Admission is $10 at the door and a donation to the Sunflower River Blues Association’s non-profit 501 c 3 organization.
