‘Sunflower Supremes’ guarantee super welcome Thursday, August 12, 2021

With the Sunflower Supremes lining up to serve our opening night’s famous “Grits, Greens, and Barbecue” menu, you definitely do not want to miss Thursday night’s party kicking off the 33rd annual Sunflower River Blues and Gospel Festival in Clarksdale, Mississippi, at 7 p.m. Thursday, August 12, 2021.

It’s open wide and welcoming to VIP patrons who have a great time renewing and toasting friendships with unlimited beverages while enjoying dynamite musicians beneath the tent up close and personal.

Booked for the evening are super stars: Lucious Spiller from 7 to 7:45 p.m.; Mississippi Marshall from 8 to 8:45 p.m. and Terry “Big T” Williams from 9 to 9:45 p.m.

The VIP Tent is located adjacent to the Main Stage, but does not restrict the access of blues fans cheering their favorite musicians in front of the stage.

Returning to Thursday night’s popular menu that originated initially to acquaint “our Sister City cousins from Notodden Norway,”” with Southern Soul food – the menu includes Mrs. Louise Campbell’s famous turnip greens and cornbread; Charlie Musselwhite’s favorite Rotel-flavored baked cheese grits; Abe’s awesome barbecue, and watermelon plus beverages.
